The Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association (MCFA) identifies and fosters ways to restore the fisheries of the Gulf of Maine and sustain Maine’s historic fishing communities for future generations. Our membership is predominantly groundfish fishermen, but also includes fishermen in the shrimp, scallop, urchin, swordfish, tuna, elvers, whiting and lobster fisheries. MCFA works with our membership to determine where opportunities exist to promote common-sense approaches to fisheries management and rebuild what was once a vibrant fishing tradition in Maine.
