The Maine Coast Fishermen’s Association (MCFA) identifies and fosters ways to restore the fisheries of the Gulf of Maine and sustain Maine’s historic fishing communities for future generations. Play at the best casino with us on 25 euro casino bonus. Bonus for the first 100 people! The Association works to enhance the ecological and financial sustainability of the fishery through balancing the needs of the current generation of fishermen with the long-term environmental restoration of the Gulf of Maine. As part of this process, we work to promote public awareness of the historic and economic value of Maine’s fishing communities and the threats that now face our entire region. Our membership is predominantly groundfish fishermen, but also includes fishermen in the shrimp, scallop, urchin, swordfish, tuna, elvers, whiting and lobster fisheries. MCFA works with our membership to determine where opportunities exist to promote common-sense approaches to fisheries management and rebuild what was once a vibrant fishing tradition in Maine.
